Kseniya Simonova – very hard for me to pronounce is a very interesting artist who I heard about on ttt tonight. She is
Ukrainian and while walking along the beach with her husband and son, she started drawing scratches into the sand – haven’t we all done that? By doing that a new idea was born!

She realised soon that the sand from the beach along the coast from Krim wasn’t perfect due to the grainy consistence. By now she has changed the Ukrainian sand to volcanic sand which is fine and the best for drawing detailed pictures.
Kseniya’s creations are drawn from life and she easily changes one picture in the another which form together stories. This year she won the Ukrainian Got Talent Price for her work about the UdSSR’s Great Patriotic War against the Third Reich in the second world war. The price was accounted with approx. $US 125,000.
Due to that price she gained greater popularity within Ukraine but also in other countries. Her youtube publications have had more than 9 million clicks.
